Kanako Urai is a Japanese professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Kana. She is currently signed to WWE and assigned to its developmental branch NXT under the ring name Asuka. She is known for her stiff wrestling style, which includes various kicks and submission holds. She has also worked as a freelance graphic designer and video game journalist and through her work with Microsoft, she has been sponsored by the company, wearing an Xbox 360 logo on her gear.

It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Allstate Arena in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois, marking the third Survivor Series to be held at this arena after the 1989 and 2019 events. It is currently unknown if the event will retain the WarGames theme utilized for the 2022 event.

The 2023 Fastlane is the upcoming seventh Fastlane professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, and will be the first Fastlane held since 2021, subsequently making it the first held to be held on a Saturday and in October. This will also be WWE's first PPV and livestreaming event held in Indianapolis since Clash of Champions in September 2016, which was at the same arena when it was formally known as Bankers Life Fieldhouse (the arena changed its name to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in 2021). The name of the event originally referred to its position on the "Road to WrestleMania", however, this was dropped for 2023 due to the event taking place six months after WrestleMania 39.

This also marks WWE's first event to be held at Ford Field since WrestleMania 23 in April 2007, and the first SummerSlam to be held in Michigan since 1993.
