Ririn experiences a strange incident in the woods when she goes camping with her friends. Mr. Purbo, the psychic, hears about Ririn’s incident and knows that she is not the first victim. According to him, the only way to save Ririn is to reconstruct the incident to find and destroy the cause. Ririn finally dies and Mr. Purbo worries about the next victim. Nadya, Ririn’s friend, really misses her and feels that what had happened to Ririn is her fault. Then she hears a voice in her ear, panics and has an accident but she survives. Finally, Nadya and her fiance, Gilang, decide to retreat to a bungalow owned by his parents. But both Nadya and Gilang start having nightmares and horrifying situations.

Ratmono is attracted to a Gandrung Banyuwangi (a traditional dance from Banyuwangi area) dancer and he intends to divorce his wife. His intention to marry the dancer costs him his wealth and drives him into poverty. He ends up hanging himself. This incites the hatred of the villagers against the voodoo shaman and they decide to chase away all shamans. But a Muslim minister (Ustad), Sutar, prevents them from doing so. Soon, the village is gripped by a series of killings of those considered to be voodoo shamans. They start suspecting the religious figures (Kiai) but the murders are committed by several men in black, with their faces covered like ninjas. The minister is also threatened by anonymous phone calls and is even attacked. Then the authorities release a statement that there are no ninjas. The murders remain a mystery. Symbolically, it ends with a little boy carrying the national flag with his friends.

Bobi (Chairil JM) and Santi (Windy Chindyana) are childless though they have been married for five years. They are friends with another couple, Krisman and Sri. Krisman and Bobi have a business relationship but then Krisman starts an affair with Santi. They have sex and she gets pregnant. But Bobi does not know that the baby is Krisman’s. Ricky (Ryan Hidayat) is so disturbed by the death of his girlfriend, Sita (Nike Ardilla), in a parachuting accident that he acts out anti-socially; all he does is drive around in his old, open-top jeep, hanging out with his gang and getting into fights. His bad attitude is exacerbated when he discovers that his father is having an affair with his secretary, while his mother is busy giving lectures to the public about juvenile delinquency. Eventually, he gets into a street fight with the older brother of a girl named Lita (Nike Ardilla).
