Liza's husband becomes impotent after a physical altercation with a thief. Because he can't satisfy her anymore, he leaves and begs Liza to divorce him from afar through his lawyer. 조정의 금이 사라지고 이 금을 되찾기 위해 포정의(백표 분) 일행이 파견된다. 한편 개방파의 방주(양가인 분)도 습격을 받고 이 사건의 배후에 무언가가 심상치 않음을 간파한다. 용의자 한 명을 죽이자 그의 딸은 아버지 복수를 위해 일행을 쫓아온다. 포정의 일행은 계속되는 공격을 받아 부하들이 죽어나간다. 이 모든 배후에는 여자의 피로 내공을 쌓고 있는 모산도인(황정리 분)이 있었다. 서로 힘을 합치게 된 개방방주와 포정의는 모산도인을 공격하나 엄청난 내공을 이미 쌓은 그에게 상대가 되지 못한다. 포정의 일행을 쫓아왔던 여인이 포정의의 칼로 자신의 몸을 관통, 모산도인을 찔러 대결은 끝이 난다.
640년 당나라 고승 삼장법사가 손오공과 저팔계, 사오정을 데리고 천축국으로 경문을 가지러 떠난다. 3만 8천리의 먼 거리를 걸어서 여행하는 수난과 고행의 장도였다. 당나라를 떠나 열 네 나라를 지나 1만 1천리를 걸어 자치국에 당도한다. 수천의 스님들이 모두 삼천관이라는 사교의 궁전을 짓는대 동원되어 가혹한 노동을 당하는 것을 삼장법사 일행이 목격한다. 삼장일행은 녹력과 양력이라는 도술사와 비 내리기 시합을 해 손오공이 승리하여 왕에게 인정을 받아 혹사당하는 스님들을 구한다. 녹력과 양력은 삼장일행에게 복수하려고 거미요물인 주청룡과 합세하여 상대하나 손오공에게 역습을 받아 거미요물을 퇴치한다. 이에 녹력과 양력은 백골정이라는 마귀에게 도움을 청한다. 백골정은 여러 가지 변신술로 삼장 일행을 해하고저 하지만 손오공의 심안술에 들켜 실패로 끝나고 삼장일행은 고난의 여행길을 뚫고 천축국을 가지고 돌아온다.
