오코티요 서커스의 마스코트인 코끼리 '플로라'. 이제는 나이가 들어 더는 공연을 할 수 없게 된다. 단장 '헨리'는 ‘플로라’를 코끼리 보호 구역에 보낼 기금이 없어, 하는 수없이 ‘플로라’를 안락사하기로 한다. 한편, ‘플로라’를 친가족처럼 사랑하는 ‘헨리’의 어린 딸 '던'은 ‘플로라’와 함께 서커스를 빠져나와 직접 보호 구역으로 가기로 결심한다.

어머니가 돌아가신 후로 아버지와 함께 목장을 운영하며 카우보이로 살아가는 킵. 어느 날 킵은 호기심에 들른 유흥가에서 '로라'라는 여자를 만나고, 곤경에 처한 로라를 도와주게 된다. 하지만 곧 정체를 알 수 없는 남자에게 습격당하고 로라는 붙잡혀 가는데... 한편 킵의 아버지가 운영하는 목장은 사정이 어려워지고, 아버지는 킵의 삼촌인 베켓에게 돈을 받고 목장에 대한 권리를 넘기게 된다. 킵은 로라를 계속 찾아 다니고, 이번 실종이 그간 마을에서 실종됐던 소녀들과 관련이 있다는 걸 눈치채게 되는데...

Myles and Brody are best friends with two very different ways of finding love. Displeased with their current love lives, they make a pact to be together if neither finds love in ten year’s time. Now two months shy of their deadline, both friends set off to do whatever it takes to avoid ending up as each other’s last resort.

Former college friends meet up for a reunion that leads them to face the apparent disillusionment that defines their lives. After a week of excessive drug and alcohol abuse, events lead them to contemplate fulfilling a self destructive pact they made when they were young.
