Sam and Ned Porter are little thugs, riding together and robbing banks. One night, Sam gets captured by mysterious bounty hunters who offer to keep him alive only if he turns his brother in. Redemption will come at a high price.

어느 날 갑자기 지구에 외계 생명체가 나타나 인간들을 죽이고 지구의 광물을 채굴하기 시작한다. 사람들은 정찰이 없는 단 두 시간 동안만 밖으로 나갈 수 있다. 외딴 집에서 눈 먼 남동생‘톰’과 함께 숨어사는‘새라’는 식량을 노리고 침입하는 다른 인간들을 막아내며 간신히 생존을 이어 나간다. 그러던 중 ‘주드’라는 남자가 먹을 것을 찾아 집안에 들어오고 다른 약탈자와는 달리‘새라‘와 남동생에게 도움을 주며 침입자들을 막아준다. 모든 것이 파괴되고 언제 죽음이 닥칠지 모르는 상황이지만 인간은 한 줄기 희망 하나에 기대어 버틴다.
