Kidnapping and dirty tricks are the way of the street among the ageing Jewish community of London's East End.

Buster is a small time crook who pulls a big time job. When he finds that the police will not let the case drop, he goes into hiding and can't contact his wife and child. He arranges to meet them in Mexico where he thinks they can begin again, but finds that he must choose between his family and freedom.

This behind-the-scenes documentary follows Team Salkind as they set out to bring Santa's "true" story to the screen. Dudley Moore (Patch) hosts; David Huddleston intros in character as Santa.

옛날 옛적, 아이들을 사랑하여 크리스마스때마다 선물을 가져다주는 마음좋은 클로스 영감 부부(Santa Claus: 데이빗 허들레스톤 분 / Anya Claus: 쥬디 콘웰 분), 크리스마스날 동네 아이들에게 선물을 돌리다 숲속에서 눈보라를 만나 쓰러졌다 깨다보니 요정의 나라에 와있다. 요정들이 만든 장난감을 세상 어린이들에게 가져다줄 사람을 찾던 중 클로스 영감이 선택된 것이다. 그때부터 클로스 영감은 산타클로스란 이름을 갖게 되고 크리스마스 이브마다 아이들에게 선물을 전해준다. 그일이 산타 혼자의 힘으로 벅차게 되자 팻치(Patch: 더들리 무어 분)를 조수로 뽑는다. 조수 자리를 내놓는 팻치는 산타가 자기를 싫어한다고 생각하며 요정 나라를 떠나 인간 세계로 온다. 산타에게 자신의 솜씨를 과시하고 싶었던 팻치는 악덕 장난감업자 비지(B.Z.: 존 리스고우 분)와 일한다. 한편 고아로 거리에서 사는 조는 산타를 만나고 나서 산타를 믿게 되고 비지의 일가친척인 외로운 소녀 코넬리아(Cornelia: 캐리 케이 하임 분)와 친해진다. 몸이 아파 코넬리아 집에 있던 조는 비지에게 잡히고 코넬리아는 사탕이 터진다는 말을 엿듣고 산타에게 알리는데.

하느님이 예언자 사무엘(Samuel: 데니스 퀼리 분)을 통해서 사울(Saul: 에드워드 우드워드 분)에게 기름 부어 그를 왕으로 세우셨은 사울은 하느님께 순종치 않아 하느님은 그를 버리시고 이삭의 막내 아들 다윗(David: 리차드 기어 분)을 왕으로 뽑으셨다. 사무엘의 예언대로 양을 지키던 다윗을 사울 왕의 아들 요나단(Jonathan: 잭 크라프 분)이 궁으로 데려간다. 하느님께 버림받고 악몽에 시달리던 사울 왕의 발작을 다윗의 노래로 잠재우기 위해서였다. 다윗은 블레셋의 거인 장수 골리앗을 물리친 후로 왕의 신임을 받아 집으로 돌아가지 않고 왕이 구대의 사령관직에까지 오른다. 그리고 사울왕의 딸 미가라과 결혼해 부마가 된다. 그러나 사울은 백성들이 자신보다 다윗을 더 신임하는데 질투를 느겨 드디어는 다윗을 없애버릴 결심을 한다. 다윗은 형제간 이상의 우정을 나누던 요나단 왕자의 도움으로 도마가 광야에서 살면서 사람들을 규합한다. 그러다가 사울 왕이 블레셋과의 전투에서 전사하자 이스라엘의 왕위에 오른다. 하느님은 그에게 부귀 영화를 누리게 하시고 그에게 부족함이 해주셨으나 그는 하느님의 분노를 살 큰 죄을 범한다. 즉 군대 장교 우리야의 아내 바쎄바를 빼앗아 자기의 아내로 맞기 위해 일부러 치열한 전쟁에서 그를 선봉에 내보내 죽게 한 것이다. 그래서 왕실에 칼부림이 그치지 않으리라는 저주를 받는다. 그 저주 때문인지 맏아들 압논이 이복 여동생인 다마라을 범하여 다말의 친오빠 압살롬의 칼에 죽고 압살롬은 헤브론으로 귀양을 떠난다. 압살롬은 사람들을 모아 반역을 일으켰다가 다윗의 신하의 칼에 죽는다. 그후로 다윗은 다시는 죄를 짓지 않게 되어 다시 하느님의 축복을 받는다. 그래서 이스라엘 민족에게 등불과 같은 존재로 나라를 다스리다가 평온히 죽는데...

An ancient church is being dismantled and moved to a new location, stone by stone. One of the gargoyles from the stones falls into the possession of a mother who takes the stone man back to her family. Soon after, four strangers show up in the village and the Sogood & Firkettle children seem to be the only ones who question the mysterious things that begin to happen. This film was originally broadcast across six 25 minute episodes with a total runtime of 150 minutes. A few years later, the US cable network Nickelodeon edited the miniseries into a 2 hour (including commercials) movie block. This 2 hour edited version was shown throughout the 1980s on US television.

A madman is on the loose... killing fashion models that appear on the cover of magazines. The police start a manhunt in an attempt to capture the killer.

미국인 의사 벤 맥케나와 조 부부는 아들 행크와 함께 프랑스령 모로코로 휴가를 즐기러 간다. 그들이 시장에서 쇼핑을 하고 있을 때 한 아랍인이 등에 칼을 맞은 채 그들 앞에 쓰러진다. 그는 벤에게 암브로스 채플이라는 말 한마디를 남긴채 죽고 어린 아들은 누군가에 의해 납치당한다. 아들을 구하러 나선 맥케나 부부는 추적끝에 국제 스파이 조직이 런던의 앨버트 홀에서 외교관을 암살할 계획임을 알아낸다. 교향악단의 연주가 시작되고 암살의 신호인 심벌즈가 울리기 직전 맥케나 부부의 노력으로 외교관의 암살은 저지되고 그들은 아들을 스파이 조직으로부터 구해낸다.
