Italy, 1977. Professor Bruschi is a retired widower who lives according to a strict routine he set for himself. 고물 승용차로 맞부딪히면서 달리는 스톡카 경주의 친구 컫과 벤. 오늘도 경기에서 공동우승, 상품으로 받은 샌드바기는 두 사람이 나누어 갖게 되었다. 이 차로 다음 경주를 나가기로 하고 벤의 공장에서 정비를 하기로 하였다. 근데 이 정비공장은 유원지 앞에 있으며 이 근방은 저항파의 최후의 토지인 것이다. 그래서 건달들이 끊임없이 그들을 몰아내려는 공작을 하고 있었다. 건달들이 선량한 시민들을 폭력으로 몰아내려고 하자 컫과 벤은 깽들의 본거지인 나이트크럽으로 쳐들어간다. 건달들이 화가 나서 쫓아갔으나 되려 당하고 만다. 그 후 다시 완전무장을 한 10명의 건달들이 오토바이를 타고 쳐들어 왔으나 이번에도 당한다. 컫과 벤은 가만히 있지 않고 나이트크럽으로 돌격, 테이블을 부수고 차를 탄 채 계단을 올라가고 드디어 건달들은 항복했다. 유원지도 옛 모습을 되찾고 법석거렸고 그 앞의 광장에는 신품 샌드바기 2대가 달리고 있었다. 컫과 벤에게 각각 1대씩 건달두목이 보낸 것이었다.
