Jean and Marina go to Athens for their summer vacation. There they are reunited with Marina's family, while preparing to spend a romantic getaway, Marina's family decides to accompany them. But nothing will go according to the plan.

In the midst of the world’s most harrowing war, a young soldier arrives at an abandoned monastery in search of his father. However, he soon suspects that the monastery’s guests might know where his father is.

Strangers in their own birthplace, a camp 16-year-old, lollipop-sucking Dany and his 18-year-old brother Odysseus cross the entire country (along with pet rabbit Dido ) in search of their Greek father, who they only know as “The Nameless”, after the death of their Albanian mother. They hope to get Greek passports and citizenship but on the journey they encounter racism and prejudice.

Revenge is a recurrent theme in thrillers, usually dispensed by action heroes with a well-stocked arsenal. But in Yorgos Tsemberopoulos’s nuanced moral maze the protagonist is the bookish Kostas (Manolis Mavromatakis), a suburban florist well versed in social and political theory, which he discusses at length with a local publican. But when his home is invaded by masked hoodlums, who bind his family and rape his teenage daughter, our everyman hero finds his intellectual stance untenable. Encouraged by his paranoid, militarist neighbour, Kostas decides to take the law into his own hands, and in doing so begins to understand – for the first time – the world he has been living in. The vigilante movie is a well-explored genre too, but Tsemberopoulos gives it a whole new urgency, subverting the cliched right-wing fantasy structure and seeing it through the eyes of a man who comes to find his real self while trying to live up to the (imagined) expectations of others. 11번째 생일을 맞은 안젤리키. 온 가족이 한껏 흥에 겨워 소녀의 생일 파티를 즐기지만, 안젤리키는 왠지 즐겁지 않다. 가족들이 춤을 추며 사진을 찍는 사이, 베란다로 천천히 걸어가 난간에 걸터 앉는 안젤리키. 그리고 엷은 미소를 지으며, 난간에서 조용히 뛰어내린다. 안젤리키의 사건 이후, 가족 모두 큰 상실감에 빠지지만, 가족의 가장인 아버지는 의연히 대처하며 아내와 딸, 손주들을 보살핌에 여념이 없다. 한편 경찰과 사회복지사는 안젤리키의 자살 원인에 대해 수사를 착수하지만, 가족 모두 그저 사고였다고 주장하는데…
