밀레니엄에서 가장 빠른 특급 엘리베이터가 오작동을 시작한다.
엘리베이터 정비사 마크 뉴먼은 문제를 해결하기 위해 나서지만 쉽사리 원인을 찾지 못하고 앞못보는 장애인, 밀레니엄빌딩의 경비원, 임산부, 등등 점점 피해자는 늘어만 가고, 신문기자인 제니퍼에 의해 엘리베이터에 대한 비밀을 듣고 직접 해결을 위해 나선다.
쌩 레미에서 출생한 노스트라다무스(Nostradamus : 체키 카리오 분)는 아비뇽 대학에서 다방면에 걸쳐 많은 지식을 습득한 뒤 몽뺄리에로 옮겨 의학을 공부한다.
16세기 초 흑사병이 유럽을 휩쓸자, 노스트라다무스는 위생을 강조함과 동시에 장미 꽃잎으로 제조한 환약을 개발 많은 생명을 구해낸다. 그러나 다른 사람들의 생명을 구하느라 동분서주하는 동안 자신의 아내(줄리아 오몬드 분)와 두 아이가 흑사병으로 죽게 되고 노스트라다무스는 정처없이 이곳저곳을 떠돌게 된다.
이때 종교 재판소로부터 미움과 시기를 사게되고 영화는 긴박하게 돌아간다. 형이 있는 고향으로 돌아와 의사로 활동하던 중 만난 과부 앤(Anne : Assumpta Serna 분)과 재혼을 한 그는 당시 프랑스 국왕인 앙리 2세의 죽음을 예언하고 야망과 복수심에 불타는 캐서린 왕비의 보호아래 미래의 재난을 알려 사람들에게 경각심을 불러 일으키고자 예언서를 출판하는데...
Wealthy Alexander Moore and working-class Jerry Crowe are childhood friends and in 1914 find themselves in the same Army unit - Alex as an officer and Jerry as a private. They still remain close, however, until Jerry is court-martialed for desertion, and Alex is put in charge of the firing squad.
Henry Bolingbroke has now been crowned King of England, but faces a rebellion headed by the embittered Earl of Northumberland and his son (nicknamed 'Hotspur'). Henry's son Hal, the Prince of Wales, has thrown over life at court in favour of heavy drinking and petty theft in the company of a debauched elderly knight, Sir John Falstaff. Hal must extricate himself from some legal problems, regain his father's good opinions and help suppress the uprising.
A Victorian gentleman hopes to find his long-lost son, who vanished whilst searching for a mysterious Viking community in a volcanic valley somewhere in uncharted Arctic regions. The gentleman puts together an expedition team to go on the search, but when they reach their destination they must escape from some Viking descendants who will kill to keep their existence a secret.
