케타로는 크리스마스 이브 날 나루에게 자신이 아르바이트해서 번 돈으로 나루가 평소에 가지고 싶어했던 코트를 선물하려고 나루를 찾아가지만 나루가 세타에게 좋아한다고 써있는 편지와 선물을 주는 것을 보고 그 자리에 선물을 떨어트리고 그냥 돌아가려고 한다. 그것을 본 나루는 케이타로를 뒤쫓아 가지만 시노부와 케타로가 껴앉고 있는 모습을 보게된다. 하지만 둘의 오해는 친구들의 도움으로 다 풀리게 되고 크리스마스날 케타로와 나루가 극적으로 만나게 된다. 드디어 도쿄대 2차 시험이 있는 날! 케타로, 나루, 무츠미 모두 시험을 보러간다. 생각보다 문제가 쉬워 케타로는 그만 시험을 보는 도중에 나루랑 결혼하는 꿈을 꾸며 잠시 존다. 잠에서 깨어난 때는 시험 종료시간 5분전! 좌절한 케타로는 새롭게 인생을 시작하고자 배를 타게 되고, 거기서 우연히 만난 세타와 함께 고대 거북이 유적 발생지로 떠난다. 나루와 히나타장 사람들은 모두 케타로를 찾아 그 유적지로 떠난다.

While Luffy and his crew of Zoro and Nami are starving on their small boat, they are attacked by a large monster. Nami is taken away, while Luffy and Zoro wash up on shore.
