중국의 어느 벽지, '주전진'이라는 마을의 천주교 성당은 한 신부가 십자가에 꽃여죽은 사건이 있은 후 폐쇠된다. 20년후, 주전진 성당의 복원 움직임이 일자 유지는 평소 귀신잡는 것을 업으로 하는 구도사에게 방해를 받아왔던 터라 마을 사람들을 동원, 오신부를 돕는다. 성당이 다시 열리고 우지는 마을 사람들을 강시로 위장, 대량의 마약을 움직인다.한편, 성당에서 늦도록 기도를 하던 존 신부는 지하실에서 들리는 신음소리에 이끌려 지하실로 가고 십자가를 뽑아 20년 동안 죽어있던 신부를 되살아나게 한다. 흡혈귀의 등장으로 신부들이 차례로 흡혈귀로 변하자 구도사는 제자들과 힘을 합쳐 흡혈귀와 대결한다.
