한 기자가 살인을 자백하는 태국의 귀신 폽을 만난다. 마침내 하소연할 상대를 찾은 폽은 살인이 어떻게 일어났는지 설명하고 자신의 이야기를 발행해 달라고 요청한다. 기자는 이를 거절했다가 대신 거부할 수 없는 조건을 내걸며 둘은 계약을 맺게 된다.
