Traveling Route 66, a charismatic preacher, Reverend Johnny Jones, and his seductively beautiful Latina girlfriend, Rebecca, find their lives spiraling out of control as they travel from small town to small town; running their scam on the churches they encounter along the mother road. He's able to convince people he has the power to heal their illnesses and solve their most dreadful life experiences. But what the couple think is their scam begs the question does he really have the power? It's a question that haunts him and only intensifies his inner demons. Scarred for life, his childhood abuse from his evil father won't soon go away. He finds temporary refuge at the bottom of each bottle of tequila and endless grams of cocaine that goes up his nose. His childhood demons will not subside, neither will his vices. In the end, his powers serve as a blessing and a curse. 언더그라운드 프리러너 ‘라이언’은 고향인 바닷가로 돌아가 행복하게 살고 싶어하는 병든 할아버지와 술 취한 손님들 앞에서 노래를 부르는 여자친구를 위해 프리러너 대회에 걸린 거액의 상금을 타기 위해 대회에 참가하기로 결심한다. 반드시 우승을 해야 할 이유가 명확해진 ‘라이언’. 그가 참가한 대회는 최고의 프리러너를 뽑기 위해 전 세계로 생중계 되는 레이스다. 위험하고 아슬아슬한 공간도 자유자재로 넘는 ‘라이언’을 비롯한 참가자들. 그들의 움직임에 전 세계는 흥분하게 되지만 이내 뜻밖에 일이 발생한다. 갑작스레 중단된 생중계, 그리고 사라진 대회 참가자들. 얼마 후, 폐쇄된 공간에서 깨어난 ‘라이언’과 참가자들은 자신들의 목에 시한폭탄이 장착되어 있음을 알게 되고, 목에 장착된 시한폭탄은 60분 뒤에 폭발하게 되어 있다는 사실과 만약 그들이 레이스를 포기하거나 경찰에게 알릴 시에도 시한폭탄은 터진다는 사실에 경악하게 된다. 이 죽음의 레이스는 바로 정신 나간 백만장자들을 위해 준비된 살인 레이스였던 것. 게다가 우승후보 ‘라이언’의 여자친구 ‘첼시’는 이미 인질로 잡혀 있는 상태다. 과연 ‘라이언’은 이 죽음의 레이스에서 우승을 하고 여자친구를 구해낼 수 있을까?
