최종 우승자를 두고 무인도에서 벌어지는 리얼리티 서바이벌 쇼가 시작된다. 식물학자, 정신과 의사, 탐험가 등 다양한 이력을 가진 참가자들은 외딴곳에 자리한 솔럼섬에 홀로 남아 오직 생존 기술과 본능만으로 살아남아야 한다. 경쟁에서 도중에 하차하는 방법은 단 두 가지뿐이다. 각자에게 주어진 라디오에 있는 버튼을 눌러 경쟁에서 벗어나거나 섬 어딘가에 있는 탈출구를 이용해야만 한다.
한편, 외딴섬에서의 서바이벌이 시작되고 얼마 지나지 않아 참가자들은 수상한 사건으로 인해 이 서바이벌 쇼가 단순한 TV 리얼리티가 맞는지 조금씩 의심하기 시작한다. 애초에 이 섬은 실제로 존재하는 곳이긴 할까? 섬에 있는 시간이 지날수록 참가자들은 점점 더 혼란에 빠지며 거대한 진실과 대면하게 되는데...
