젊은 여인의 참혹한 변사체가 발견되고,
신발 공장 직원 ‘레티’가 용의자로 기소되어 종신형에 처한다. 그 후 7년이 지난 어느 날,
또다시 젊은 여인을 대상으로 한 연쇄살인이 발생하고
마을은 충격과 공포에 빠지게 된다. 한편, 검사 시르머이는 사건에 대해 조사하던 중
7년 전 사건에 문제가 있었음을 직감하지만,
담당 형사 보타와의 갈등으로 수사는 난항에 빠지게 되는데…
