영화에는 거리에서 사는 것이 좋아 노숙자가 된 귀여운 할머니에서부터 욕망의 이빨을 감춘 뱀파이어 웨이터, 리우 페스티벌에 왔다가 암벽을 타는 영화배우, 공중전화 박스에서 예수의 전화를 기다리는 가난한 꼬마 등, 도시를 이루는 다양한 인간 군상들의 모습이 담겨있다. 다양한 사람들의 모습만큼이나 역동적이고 다양한 표정의 도시에서 사람들은 사랑에 빠지고 사랑을 끝내며 함께 춤춘다. 이들의 감정과 함께 살아 움직이는 듯한 리우의 눈부신 해변과 암벽, 욕망이 넘실대는 밤의 공원, 국립극장과 예수상 등의 랜드마크까지 한눈에 보고 나면 마치 인간 세상의 축소판을 구경한 느낌이다. 에밀리 모티머, 하비 케이틀, 존 터투로, 바네사 파라디 등의 연기 대결을 보는 재미도 쏠쏠하다.

"Party Crashers" chronicles the amusing encounter between Marco Polo (Marcelo Adnet), a Copacabana trickster, and Beto (Eduardo Sterblitch), a shy and insecure man, on the New Year's Eve in Rio. Together they crash parties and create a lot of confusion in search of the beautiful Laura.

To escape past traumas, a truck driver João decides to leave his hometown behind and travel cross the country. Alone and lonely he drives all over Brazil until João discovers hiding in his truck a motherless boy looking for his father. Reluctantly, João agrees to take the boy to the nearest town and, during the trip, he finally finds the courage to face his past.
