6년전 경마 사기로 50만불을 잃은 로니간(Doyle Lonnegan: 올리버 리드 분)은 곤돌프(Gondorff: 잭키 글리슨 분)와 후커(Hooker: 맥 데이비스 분)에게 복수를 하기 위해 치밀한 계획을 세운다.
