한적한 시골 마을에서 마부 일을 하고 있는 청년 '중건(부성 분)' 은 의협심이 남달라 불의를 보고 참지 못하는 성격이다. 그래서 싸움을 자주 하게 되는데 마을 사람들은 싸움만 하는 중건을 고운 시선으로 보지 않고 오히려 원망하고 비난한다. 어느 날, 중건은 치한에게 폭행당할 뻔한 여성을 구해주고 그의 패거리와 엮이게 된다. 호시탐탐 중건을 죽이기 위해 기회를 엿보는 패거리들을 중건은 가볍게 무찌르지만 적의 우두머리 '봉천산(왕룡위 분)' 에게 그는 너무도 쉽게 지고 만다. 다행히 중건의 사부(산모 분)가 나타나 그를 죽을 뻔한 위기에서 구해주지만 또 다시 봉천산 패거리가 중건을 노릴 거라고 생각한 사부는 중건을 채리불권을 가르치는 소림사 스님에게 보낸다. 그리고 무관을 닫고 떠나려던 사부는 봉천산에게 죽고 만다. 중건은 소림사 스님 밑에서 채리불권을 열심히 연마하고 사부의 복수를 위해 봉천산을 찾아간다.
Silver Maid, a young girl, becomes caught up in the struggle between two warring sects, the Red Devils and the Black Devils. At the same time, she is on a quest to find the Fairy Fungus, which is the only means of curing her ailing grandfather. Getting it requires that she defeat a quintet of vermin-based fighters known as the Five Poisonous Creatures, who include among their number a giant puppet snake. This accomplished, everyone sets off in search of a magical superweapon called the Sacred Tooth.
A crazy swordsman is on the loose, wreaking havoc and devastation in his wake. Before long a beautiful swordswoman is deployed to put an end to his vile antics.
