영국에 살고 있는 아랍계인 알리는 아내와 별거 중인 중년 남성이다. 유치원에 근무하고 있는 에이바는 얼마 전 남편을 잃고 홀로 살고 있다. 우연한 계기로 이둘은 만나게 되고, 서로의 처지를 이해하게 된 두 사람은 급속도로 가까워진다. 하지만 둘의 만남을 극도로 싫어하는 에이바의 아들, 그리고 그들의 관계를 의심스러운 눈초리로 바라보는 알리의 가족 등 둘의 우정이 사랑으로 발전하기에는 너무나도 많은 제약이 있다. (제26회 부산국제영화제)
