1992년 갑자기 미래인들이 UFO를 타고 나타난다. UFO에서 나온 미래인 에미 카노, 윌슨, 그렌치코는 자신들이 2204년의 미래에서 왔으며, 일본은 21세기에 고지라 때문에 원자력 발전소들이 파괴되어 일본 전국토가 방사능에 오염되어 멸망할 운명이라는 것을 알려준다. 미래인들은 1944년, 2차 대전이 한창 벌어지는 중이던 태평양의 라고스 섬으로 가서 훗날 수폭 실험의 영향으로 고지라가 될 고지라사우루스(ゴジラザウルス)를 도랏토 3마리로 바꾸면서 1992년 고지라는 사라지고 도랏토가 원폭의 영향으로 킹 기도라가 되고 만다.

The year is 1945. After the horrific fire-bombings of the Pacific War levels Japan to the ground, the government decides to consult spiritual psychics to aid them in winning the war. Unfortunately, the resentment and agony of the souls of the fire-bombing victims culminate together to revive the evil Onmyoji, Yasunori Kato. Only a young, psychically imbued apprentice of the priests will dare fight against the evil magic user. However, can this lone man possibly contend with Kato's overwhelming power?

A photographer for a weekly magazine becomes obsessed with Nami, a woman he first saw getting brutally raped in an underground porn video. After tracking her down, he begins an affair with her, initially unaware that she is also in an abusive relationship with Muraki, the man responsible for the video that started it all.

A couple of sculptors who caused a traffic accident and changed their lives are led to a crime. The lives of the up-and-coming sculptor Sugio Nishikawa and Maiko have changed completely since the traffic accident. Sugio was forced to live in a wheelchair, and the quality of his work deteriorated. One day, Sugio insured Maiko for 50 million life insurance and forced her to cooperate with insurance fraud.

Yumi, an exceptionally beautiful call girl, has a close call with death when a client forces her to die with him. An old cop pities her and agrees to be her guarantor so that she could join a Nishijin weaver workshop. Yumi wishes to put her dark past behind her, but she's exposed by an ex-client. Despite the unwavered support of the old cop, she sees no way out and uses her seductive body again to get what she wants. Hiroyuki, her co-worker at the weaver workshop, is a pure-hearted young man who may redeem Yumi from her deadly path as a femme fatale.

Zatoichi, the famed blind swordsman, returns to his home village for the first time in many years. He is befriended by Omiyo, who had the same wet-nurse as Zatoichi. He also encounters a boyhood friend, Shinbei, who now is wealthy and appears not to remember Zatoichi. Shinbei seems to be interested in repaying the villagers' debts, but is in reality manipulating the ownership of a now-valuable rock quarry. Zatoichi learns of the subterfuge and confronts his old friend, who has a score of yakuza swordsmen backing his play.

When a space probe crash-lands on a far-flung Pacific atoll, the craft's alien stowaways decide to take over their new world one creature at a time. Soon, the parasitic life forms latch onto three indigenous critters -- a squid, a crab and a snapping turtle -- and transform them into colossal mutant monsters.

In the Edo period, a nameless ronin accepts an assignment to go to a mountain pass and wait. Near the pass he stops at an inn where a collection of characters gather, including a gang set on stealing shogunate gold that's soon to come over the pass. When the Ronin's assignment becomes clear, to help the gang, he's ordered to kill the inn's residents, including a woman he's rescued from an abusive husband. He's reluctant to murder innocent people; then he learns that the gold shipment is a trap and he's part of a double cross. How he sorts through these divided loyalties tests of his samurai honor, and perhaps of his love for a woman.

Kansuke Yamamoto is a samurai who dreams of a country united, peaceful from sea to sea. He enters the service of Takeda, the lord of Kai domain. He convinces Takeda to kill the lord of neighboring Suwa and take his wife as a concubine. He then convinces the widow, Princess Yu, to accept this arrangement and to bear Takeda a son. He pledges them his life. He then spends years using treachery, poetic sensibility, military and political strategy to expand Takeda's realm, advance the claim of Yu's son as the heir, and prepare for an ultimate battle with the forces of Echigo. Has Kansuke overreached? Are his dreams, blinded by love, too big?

미·일 전쟁을 피하고자 했지만 이를 더이상 피할 수 없게 되자 진주만 기습 전격전을 기획해 전쟁을 일찍 종결 짓고 일본의 승리와 종전을 얻어내고자 했던 야마모토 이소로쿠 제독의 용단과 고뇌.

고지라 시리즈에 등장한 괴수들은 물론이고 토호에서 만든 바란 등의 비고지라 계열 단독작품 괴수들도 나오는 올스타전과도 같은 작품이다. 이 작품의 배경은 1999년으로 쇼와 고지라 시리즈 타임라인 상으론 마지막이라고 봐도 무방할 정도의 특징이다. 즉 이때는 메카고지라의 역습의 이후 시점을 다루는 시퀄인 셈. 물론 이미 30년 넘었긴 했지만, 당시 미니어처는 나름대로 나쁘지 않은 수준이다.

A killer-for-hire gets mixed up with a cast of wacky characters involved in a gold smuggling route from Beirut to Tokyo.

태평양의 외딴 섬인 소겔 섬에 주둔하고 있는 과학자 팀은 기상관제 시스템을 완벽히 하려고 시도한다. 그들의 노력은 거대 사마귀와 늘 소란스러운 기자인 마키 고로가 섬에 도착하면서 방해받는다. 기상관제 시스템의 첫 번째 테스트는 순조롭게 진행되다 싶더니 섬의 중심에서 발생한 알 수 없는 신호로 인해 방사성 풍선의 리모컨이 걸려버리면서 실패하고 만다. 풍선이 폭발하면서 방사능 폭풍을 일으켜 거대 사마귀는 카마키라스로 변한다. 과학자들은 카마키라스들이 흙더미에서 알을 파내는 것을 발견한다. 알이 부화하면서 미니라가 태어나고, 과학자들은 미니라의 울음소리가 그들의 실험을 망친 방해의 원인이었다는 것을 깨닫는다. 곧 고지라가 미니라를 지키기 위해 돌진하면서 우연히 과학자들의 근거지를 밟으며 섬에 상륙한다. 고지라는 상륙하자마자 카마키라스 두 마리를 박살낸다. 한 마리는 반복되는 슬램을 뚫고 산산조각이 나고 다른 한 마리는 고지라의 방사열선에 폭사당한다. 세 번째 카마키라스는 고지라에 의해 몸이 꺾이면서 죽고, 마지막 한 마리는 결국 달아난다.

The car was driven by the wife of a company president who is having an affair. The woman's husband manages to buy silence about the incident, but the victim's mother discovers the identity of the driver. After she secures a job in the home of the company president and his philandering spouse, the woman plans to murder the couple's son when he reaches the age of her late son.

In an effort to find an economic means of purifying salt water, a joint U.S.-Japanese military command is set up on an isolated Japanese island where an unusual salt water lake is situated. However, their purifying experiments arouse the prehistoric monster Obaki from hibernation at the lake's bottom, and it proceeds to attack Japan. Although made by a U.S. independent film company, this film was based on a Japanese Toho monster film of 1958, "Daikaiju Varan", from which all of the monster effects scenes and a few incidental dramatic shots were edited into it.

아코낭인 사건 이라고도 하는 이 사건은 도쿠가와 막부의 제 5대 쇼군 도쿠가와 쓰나요시가 집권하고 있던 1701년 에도성에서 일어났다. 칙사 접대를 담당한 아코성의 성주 아사노 다쿠미노카미가 의전 담당인 기라 고즈케노스케를 칼로 쳤으나 미처 죽이지 못하였지만, 그날로 할복을 하고, 가옥과 성이 몰수된다. 도쿠가와 막부의 조치에 불만을 지닌 아코성 가신인 오이시 구라노스케 이하 낭인 46, 총 47명이 그 다음해 12월에 기라의 저택을 급습하여 그를 죽인 후, 그 목을 아사노가 묻혀있는 센가쿠지(泉岳寺)로 들고가 복수를 완성하고, 1703년 3월 도쿠가와 막부의 결정에 따라 46명 할복했던 실제 사건을 그린 영화이다.

늦은 밤 일군의 젊은이들이 외딴 집에 모여 그들의 성에서 일어나고 있는 부패를 일소하기로 결의한다. 하지만 곧 그들은 그곳에 또 한 명의 낯선 사람이 자신들의 얘기를 엿듣고 있다는 것을 알아챈다. 그는 산주로라는 이름의 떠돌이 사무라이로 그 젊은이들이 잘못된 판단을 하고 있다며 비웃는다. 그리고는 이 슬기롭지는 않지만 정의로운 젊은이들과 뜻을 같이 하기로 한다.

Lt. Koji Kitami is a navigator-bombardier in Japan's Naval Air Force. He participates in the Japanese raid on the U.S. Naval Base at Pearl Harbor in 1941 and is welcomed with pride in his hometown on his return. As Japan racks up victory after victory in the Pacific War, Kitami is caught up in the emotion of the time and fights courageously for the standard of Japanese honor. But his assuredness of his government's righteousness is shaken after the Japanese navy is defeated in the debacle of Midway.

Men are being murdered by a psycho called "The Telegian," who uses a matter-transmitting device to locate his victims.

In 1965, the space station JSS-3 is destroyed by a fleet of UFOs, which then begin a global siege on Earth, using rays to manipulate gravity and control the minds of men. In response, a global council meeting is held to determine the source of the attacks and prepare a rocket ship armada for a counter-attack, a true battle in outer space. . . The film is a sequel of sorts to Toho's THE MYSTERIANS in the reprise of the Etsuko Shiraishi character of that film as its heroine. It was edited to 74 minutes for its American release.

인력거인으로 '불사신 마츠', '무호마츠'로 불리우던 마츠고로(미후네 토시로)가 오랜만에 고향인 오쿠라에 돌아왔다. 노일 전쟁의 승리에 열광하던 즈음, 나무에서 떨어져 다리를 다친 소년 토시오를 구한 것이 연이 되어 마츠고로는 소년의 아버지 요시오카 대위(아쿠다가와 히로시)의 집에 드나들게 된다. 대위는 무지하긴 하지만 호탕하고 너그러운 마츠고로를 신뢰한다. 대위가 가족을 마츠고로에게 부탁하고 죽자 마츠고로는 일심으로 토시오와 미망인(다카미네 히데코)에게 전력을 다한다. 고교 진학을 위해 토시오가 오쿠라를 떠나자 마츠고로는 눈에 띄게 늙고 술에 빠지게 된다. 어느 여름 기온 축제의 날 귀성한 토시오를 위해 마츠고로는 기쁜 나머지 축제 수레 위에 올라가 일생 일대의 기온의 북을 친다. 몇일 후 요시오카 부인 앞에서 마츠고로는 '전 마음이 더러워요!' 라고 오랫동안 키워왔던 부인을 향한 사모의 마음을 고백하고 운다. 어느 눈이 내리는 날, 교정의 한 켠에 미소를 머금은 채 마츠고로의 사체가 발견된다. 남겨진 짐 속에는 요시오카 집에서 받은 축하 선물과 모자 명의의 저금 통장이 있었다. In the Tokugawa Era, the clan of Lord Yagyu has hidden away three scrolls containing clan secrets which, if revealed, would cause revolution and disaster for the clan. The information is divided among the three scrolls, all of which must be possessed for the secrets to be understood. When Princess Yuhime steals the scrolls, Tasaburo, a samurai with magical powers, and his brother Senshiro are sent to retrieve them.

Kiyoko (Takamine Hideko) and her husband want to open a coffee shop. She becomes increasingly close to the bank clerk (Mifune Toshiro) she's asked for a loan.

주물공장을 경영하는 노인 나카지마 기이치는 원자폭탄과 수소폭탄의 위협을 피하려면 일본을 떠나야 한다며, 전 재산을 던져 브라질로 이민을 준비한다. 브라질 이민을 결코 찬성할 수 없는 가족들은 그를 한정치산자로 선고해 달라고 가정법원에 신청한다. 가정재판소의 조정위원을 맡고 있는 치과의사 하라다는 나카지마 노인의 주장에 마음이 흔들리면서도, 현실적인 선택으로 한정치산자 선고를 인정할 수밖에 없다. 아무것도 할 수 없게 된 나카지마 노인은 핵에 대한 불안과 공포 속에 점차 기력을 잃어가고, 공장을 포기하지 않으려는 자식들을 설득하기 위해 급기야 공장에 불을 지르기에 이른다.

1955년에 개봉된 고지라 시리즈의 두번째 작품. 1954년에 개봉한 고지라가 대히트를 치게 되자 당연히 후속작에 대한 이야기가 나오게 되었다. 그러던중 칸사이의 스폰서가 강력하게 요구한 탓으로 두번째 작품의 배경은 오사카로 옮겨가게 되었다. 무려 3개월 만에(!) 뚝딱 해치운 이 영화는 츠부라야 에이지가 특촬감독으로 단독 기명된 최초의 작품이기도 하다. 이전 작품에는 고지라만 등장했으나, 이 영화에선 최초로 고지라와 맞서는 상대편 괴수가 등장한다. 안기라스[3]가 그 첫 타자로서 고지라와 오사카성에서 대혈투를 벌인다.

When an invisible man is run down by a car it’s up to an eager young reporter and a strange clown to bring a dangerous gang to justice.

A narcotics investigator for the harbor police, Eiichi Tsuda, is driven by thoughts of vengeance for the overdose death of his brother and the subsequent decline and death of their mother. Tsuda acts viciously and with disdain for legal niceties in his exploration of the criminal facts behind the explosion of a freighter in the harbor. He goes undercover with a band of drug smugglers, but his methods threaten to destroy him as well as his case.

Set at the end of World War II and after Japan's defeat, it is a melodrama about a man and a woman at the mercy of war. Wataru is entrusted by his best friend who has gone off to war with his sister Reiko to marry her, but he is not ready to abandon his love for Kumiko, a nurse at his mother's hospital.

일본의 전국시대. 주민들은 황폐한 땅에서 어렵게 수확한 식량으로 한해 한해를 넘기는 빈촌에 살고 있다. 이 빈촌엔 보리 수확이 끝날 무렵이면 어김없이 산적들이 찾아와 모든 식량을 모조리 약탈해 간다. 싸워도 애원해도 소용이 없었다. 가만히 있을 수만은 없던 촌장의 결단으로 사무라이들을 모집하는데, 이들은 풍부한 전쟁 경험을 가진 시마다 칸베에를 포함한 7명이었다. 시마다의 지휘하에 마을은 방위태세를 갖추고 전투훈련도 시작한다. 이윽고 산적들의 공격이 시작되어 치열한 사투가 벌어진다.

A group of Okinawan high school girls are drafted as nurses during the American invasion of the island. As the enemy army advances further, the situation for the girls becomes increasingly desperate as food and shelter run out and the number of injured climbs, leading to the film's tragic finale.
