매일 화가 나있는 것 같은 아이 카코(니카이도 후미)가 살고 있는 집에 18년 전 죽었다고 알려진 이모 미키코(코이즈미 쿄코)가 나타난다. 그녀에게 아무런 기억이 없는 카코, 하지만 집에서는 미키코를 카코와 같은 방을 쓰게 하면서 카코는 또다시 뾰롱퉁해지고 만다. 그러면서도 뭔가 이상한 카코의 집 안. 할머니는 자신의 장녀에게 죽은 것이냐는 질문을 던지고, 이모를 보는 아버지의 눈매는 어딘가 수상쩍기만하다. 그러던 어느 날, 카코와 미키코는 한 바탕 싸움을 한 후, 사이좋게 폭탄을 제조한다. 그리고 밝혀지는 카코의 출생 비밀. 전혀 놀랍지 않은 비밀이지만, 카코는 어느샌가 미키코에게 유대감을 느끼고 있다. 18년 만에 나타난 이모로 인해서 떠들석해지는 카코의 이야기. 과연 운하 속에는 악어가 살고 있는 것이며, 카코가 짝사랑하는 야스노리(코라 켄고)의 정체는 무엇일까? 지금 카코의 불쾌했던 과거가 시작된다.

Midori Mantani and Masao Minamisawa are both 28-years-old. They have dated for 4 years, but their relationship seems to be just going through the motions. They think about breaking up. At that time, Midori becomes pregnant. Midori and Masao decide to marry. While preparing for their wedding, they become more familiar with each other's background. Midori Mantani grew up with parents who ran an iron factory in a provincial city that didn't offer much in terms of culture. Unlike Midori, Masao Minamisawa grew up in Tokyo and his family was wealthy. His father worked as a photographer and his mother was a doctor. He now works as a web designer. The couple begin to have a better understanding of each other.
