This film is adapted from the real background of the search and rescue dog "Ding-Dang". It tells the story of Yang Qi, a fire fighter who retired early due to injury during an earthquake rescue, and was forced to reluctantly part with his search-and-rescue dog "Ding-Dang" who had been trained for many years. 하늘에는 하늘의 뜻이 있고 정해진 운명이 있다는 걸 굳게 믿던 천상의 수호신 천봉 원수는 어느 날 옥황상제가 계신 곳을 어지럽히는 손오공과 맞서 싸워 제압한다. 결국 손오공은 오지산 아래에 갇히게 되고, 그 후 옥황상제는 천봉에게 오지산으로 가 손오공을 없애라는 명을 내린다. 인간세계로 내려와 오지산을 찾던 천봉은 요괴잡이인 보아 일행을 만나게 된다. 함께 오지산을 찾던 그들 사이에는 분열이 일어나고, 임무를 완수하지 못한 천봉은 파면당하고 인간세계로 떨어진다. 그러던 중 천봉은 한 인연으로 인해 하늘의 뜻을 거역하게 되는데...
