The film aims to answer two questions: What is flamenco? Who is the singer Niño de Elche? This child prodigy, who inspired artists such as C. Tangana, started challenging the rules of flamenco in his adolescence, which led to a violent confrontation with his family and flamenco fans that continues today.

An experimental film on the geographic and historical voyage of the peculiar sound of the so-called 'Basque ox carts'. Said sound, which could be heard until the decade of the 60s in part of the Bay of Biscay, has now practically disappeared from the Iberian peninsula. The film travels from the silence of the sound in our territory today, until its reappearance, following years of research, in the central area of Brazil.

Beatriz Ferreyra is a concrete music artist based in France, but of Argentinean origin, who has developed her own language in experimental music. This documentary has as a script the scores elaborated by Ferreyra along the years, the sounds and silences she built, and the radical proposal that the image is at the service of the sounds.

In 1969, artist Rafael Ruiz Balerdi made the short animated film Homenaje a Tarzán (Homage to Tarzan), which ended with an enigmatic «to be continued». Ehiza (Hunting) is its continuation. It accepts Balerdi's aesthetic proposal, but steps away from the colonial perspective of the films that inspired that work to depict the harshness of our own reality: harassment, violence and destruction.

Almost two decades ago, the Itoiz dam flooded seven villages and three natural reserves on the Pyrenean hillside in Navarra. The ecologist group Solidari@s con Itoiz registered the fight against its construction. Today, those who were there dream of the land lying beneath the water on video. Their voices and gestures come together to tell the tale of an individual and collective mourning still suffered today.

Is it possible to travel twice to the same memory? The filmmaker built a cabin on an isolated riverbank, just opposite his childhood island, which had disappeared under the water after the construction of a dam. The goal was to go back to that place, which had become invisible. Only the trees of the island where he’d played stood firm in the middle of the water, like the masts of a broken toy boat, so the air was the only space left, the only vestige of the past to be conquered. This film is a diary of a castaway in memories: four months of a Walden experience in a lost paradise with two hens, a small vegetable garden and a clock that stopped forever at 11.36 and 23 seconds.

St. Agatha's Eve is a deep-rooted Basque tradition in which people walk from house to house, accompanied by improvised verse-makers (bertsolaris), singing verses to the beating of long sticks. Building on this celebration, bertsolari Maialen Lujanbio composes a stark denunciation of gender violence. In verse after verse, she condemns the different manifestations of sexist violence and our inability to combat it.

The horrors of a shipwreck, the bells of aforgotten lighthouse and the coming and going of the tides surround a tale about the sea. 'Sailor’s Grave' is the result of a workshop based on a work method taking its inspiration from the exquisite corpse game, a mechanism of collective creation where the participants manipulate and transform one another's drawings to construct an intuitive, improvised narration.
Sound
