Shima is an extremely shy young man who just started a new job. On his first day, he shares an elevator with a brash, hungover man named Togawa, who he soon learns is actually his boss. Over time, Shima becomes preoccupied with the Togawa as he tries to decide if it’s worth perusing a romantic relationship after a string of disappointments in his love life.

중학교 시절, 스스로 ‘다크 플레임 마스터’라 부를 정도로 심각한 ‘중2병’을 앓았던 ‘유타’는 자신의 흑역사를 모두 정리하고 새로운 마음으로 고교 생활을 시작한다. 하지만 등교 첫날부터 그의 앞에 한쪽 눈을 안대로 가린 ‘릿카’가 등장해 난데없이 입 밖으로 꺼내기도 민망한 ‘유타’의 과거를 떠벌리며 당황하게 만든다. ‘유타’는 직감적으로 ‘릿카’가 ‘중2병’에 걸려있음을 알게 되고 되도록 그녀를 피해보려 하지만 동급생인 것은 물론 이웃사촌인 둘은 계속해서 얽히게 된다. 함께 하는 시간이 많아질수록 서로에 대해 조금씩 알아가게 되고, 결국 서로에 대한 마음도 점차 깊어지는데...

Unlike the three previous films, Pure focuses on the relationship between Misu Arata and Shingyouji Kanemitsu , which begins when Shingyouji takes the test to enter Shidou Gakuen . That's when he meets Misu and falls for him. Then we come back to the present where the sempai who admires Misu appears, bringing Shingyouji problems and jealousy.
