라틴아메리카 파라과이의 쓰레기 매립지에 위치한 빈민촌 마을 카테우라 사람들은 쓰레기 더미에서 고물을 주워 살아간다. 마을 사람들은 돈이 없어 악기를 살 수 없는 아이들을 위해 버려진 깡통을 모아 바이올린과 첼로를 제작해 아이들에게 나누어주고, 이렇게 청소년 오케스트라 ‘랜드필 하모니’가 탄생한다. 장마와 홍수로 마을이 황폐해지고, 위기가 찾아오지만, 오케스트라는 마을에 희망을 불어넣는다. 음악의 힘과 인간 정신의 회복, 커뮤니티의 힘을 보여주는 다큐 (2015년 제7회 DMZ 국제다큐영화제) 는 쓰레기만으로 만들어진 악기를 연주하는 파라과이의 카테우라 재활용 오케스트라를 따라간다. 그들의 이야기가 전파를 타자, 오케스트라는 전세계적인 주목을 받는다. 이상적인 음악감독 파비오 차베스의 지도 아래 오케스트라는 연일 매진 기록을 세운다. 하지만 자연재해가 나라를 덮치면서, 파비오는 오케스트라를 지켜내고 마을에 희망을 주어야 하는 상황에 처한다. 음악이 지닌 강력한 힘과 인간의 끈기에 대한 기록.
