(2014년 제14회 인디다큐페스티발) 그동안 많은 장애인 관련 작품이 나왔다. 그 중 대다수는 감독이 관찰자가 되어 주인공을 따라가는 형태였다. 그러나 이 작품은 장애형제를 가진 감독 본인이 직접 카메라를 들었다는 점에서 차별화를 둔다. 이는 일반화된 장애의 인식과는 달리, 그것과 더욱 깊이 연관되어 있는 관계자의 시각에서 이야기를 풀어나가기 때문에 일반인들이 잘 알 수 없는 세밀한 묘사가 가능하다는 강점이 있다. 특히 이 작품은 장애의 객관적 시선과 주관적 입장이 어떻게 충돌되는가에 대해 감독 본인의 위치적 입장에서 더욱 잘 그려낼 수 있다. 단, 주관적 관점으로 치우치지 않기 위한 다양한 장치를 마련할 예정이다. 가정 안에서 동생은 분위기를 화기애애하게 만드는 활력소 역할을 한다. 그래서 온 가족이 모이면 동생으로 인해 늘 웃음이 끊이지 않는다. 그러나 사회는 이러한 우리 가정을 마냥 화목하게 두지 않는다. 바깥의 시선과 한국 사회의 분위기는 동생을 제외한 가족 구성원의 심신을 힘들게 만든다. 특히 동생과 동시대를 살아가고 있는 감독 본인에게는 부모님도 알지 못한 마음의 상처와 고통을 안고 살아가고 있다. 이는 아직도 작동되고 있는 장애의 일반적 편견으로 인해 '장애형제를 지닌 한 개인의 삶'에 무거운 짐을 얹어다 주는 것이다. 작품은 이와 같은 배경으로 비롯된 개인의 트라우마를 섬세하게 표현할 것이다. 본인은 아직도
