Jack Barrett is the type of guy no one calls Jack. He works for a group of businessmen known as "The Gentlemen" who operate within the fertile realm of the Sydney Underworld. 전편에서 사냥꾼들에게 엄마를 잃은 아기 사슴 밤비는 자신의 아버지인 숲속을 다스리는 큰사슴과 함께 새로운 생활을 시작하게 된다. 그러나 큰사슴은 숲속을 다스리는 일을 하는 것만으로도 벅찬데 밤비까지 돌본다는 것은 무리라며 올빼미에게 밤비를 키워줄 암사슴을 찾아 달라고 부탁한다. 밤비는 아버지와 함께 생활하게 되자 자신도 아버지처럼 모든 이들에게 존경을 받을 수 있는 사슴으로 거듭나고자 노력한다. 그리고 제일 먼저 아버지에게 인정을 받기 위해서 자신의 용기를 보여 주려고 노력하지만, 오히려 번번히 실수하는 모습들만 아버지에게 보여주게 된다. 밤비의 둘도 없는 친구인 아기 토끼 덤퍼와 아기 스컹크 플라워는 고민하는 밤비를 위로하며, 우선 숲속의 심술쟁이 고슴도치를 혼내주는 용감한 모습을 아버지에게 보여 주자며 머리를 맞대고 계획을 세우는데….
