약력

Having grown up in Frankfurt (Oder) in Germany, she worked for the theatre director René Pollesch while studying philosophy and literature, and was later assistant to filmmaker Maren Ade (Toni Erdmann). In 2011, she began a directing degree at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB). Her short films have screened and won prizes around the world, including a nomination for the 2015 German Short Film Award for Spielt keine Rolle and the 2016 German Short Film Award for Homework. Alle reden übers Wetter is her graduation film.

HANS (54) died. His ex wife CONNY (33) is now in charge of their daugther LEO (10). After their divorce Leo spent most of her time with her father Hans. Conny is overwhelmed by the new circumstances. Her way of dealing with the loss is supression instead of grieving. From then on, Conny tries to manage her full time job as a stage designer and constantly being on the phone while also taking care of her daughter. As accomplices of an unconventionel lifestyle, Conny and Leo find a new and unique form of a mother and daughter relationship.
