뇌과학자 에츠코와 유키오 부부는 전쟁 전 만주에서 촬영된 뇌실험의 모습이 담긴 필름을 보게 된다. 피험자들은 무언가를 응시하고 있다. 그 순간 스크린에 거대한 흰 빛이 나타나고 에츠코와 유키오, 우연히 방에 들어 온 어린 딸 미유키는 빛에 눈을 빼앗긴다. 17년 후, 집단 자살을 시도한 미유키는 에츠코가 경영하는 병원의 격리 병동에서 깨어난다. 필름을 본 후로 비합법적인 뇌수술을 시행하고 있었던 에츠코. 미유키는 에츠코 몰래 격리 병동을 탈출하고 사라진 미유키를 찾던 동생 카오리는 미유키가 자살 시도를 했던 폐가에서 딴사람과 같이 변해 버린 미유키와 만난다. 에츠코는 미유키를 다시 격리 병동으로 데려가고 그들에게 상상을 초월하는 공포가 방문한다. A few years ago, when Tomomi (Hiroko Akune) was on the way home from school, she saw her friend Keiko (Misaki Mori) about to be raped by a man. Tomomi hit the man in the head with a stone and saved Keiko. In the present, Keiko, has buried her past, sells her body in Tokyo. One day, Keiko is contacted by Tomomi. They haven't spoken since their high school graduation. They meet and Keiko lets Tomomi stay at her apartment. Soon, the bizarre lives of the two women begins, with Tomomi also selling her body.

A youth film depicting society in the late 90's through the eyes of lethargic young adults.
In different parts of Tokyo, four young and seemingly healthy people suddenly die of heart failure at exactly the same moment. Reporter Kazuyuki Asakawa decides to investigate the deaths, and discovers that the four had stayed at a rural inn together just a week earlier. At the inn, he comes across a strange video that ends with a message saying that anyone who watches it will die exactly seven days later. Now the clock is ticking for Asakawa. Can he break the curse in time?
