1945년 8월 서울. 독립운동을 하다 일제의 앞잡이 남부의 배반으로 체포되어 감옥에 있던 한중은 탈출에 성공하여 대학병원 간호부 혜자의 집으로 숨어든다. 한중의 지하조직은 예정대로 무장봉기를 일으키기 위해 준비하던 중 박이 다이너마이트를 가지고 오다 일본 헌병에 잡히고, 한중은 박을 구출하고 남부의 애인인 미향의 아파트로 피신한다. 한중을 숨겨준 미향은 그에게 매료되어 한중의 지하조직이 있는 지하실로 찾아가 정보와 자금을 전달한다. 그 뒤를 밟은 남부와 현병들에 의해 미향은 총에 맞아 죽고, 한중은 총상으로 대학병원으로 옮겨진다. 한중을 사모하던 혜자는 헌병이 잠든 틈을 타 그를 탈출시킨다.

남편이 군에 지원 입대하여 전쟁터로 나갔다. 아내는 남편이 무사히 돌아오기만을 손꼽아 기다린다. 그러나 소식이 없다 남편은 다리에 부상을 입고 요양소에서 요양중이었다. 때마침 그 요양소에는 아내의 친구인 간호원이 근무하고 있었다. 간호원은 어느날 부상병이 떨어뜨린 사진에서 그가 바로 친구의 남편임을 알고 아내에게 연락한다. 그리하여 남편과 아내가 감격의 재회를 한다는 내용의 어용영화이다. 영화제 소개글. 성기는 형이 전쟁에서 전사하자 집에 돌아오지만 아버지는 반대하는 결혼을 한 작은 아들을 끝내 외면한다. 고민하던 성기는 형의 뒤를 이어 군에 지원하고 힘들게 생계를 꾸려가던 아내는 혼자 아이를 낳는다. 전쟁에서 부상을 당한 성기와 병으로 죽어가던 아내가 조선해협을 사이에 두고 통화를 하며 가족간의 화해가 이루어진다. 전쟁에 참전하는 것이 곧 가족의 화합과 사랑의 완성이라는 묘한 등식을 이루는 선전영화이다. 그러나 깔끔한 만듦새는 당시 우리 영화의 높은 수준을 확인케 한다.

One day, an awful electrician Ba-woo tried to rape Soon-yi in a dark place. But, Dol-soi rescued her. As usual, Soon-yi loved Eun-ki. Frustrated Dol-soi left the town alone.

경성일보의 경일소학생신문사의 작문공모에서 조선총독상을 받은 소학교 4학년 어린이의 수기를 영화로 만든 작품이다. 부모가 놋수저 행상을 떠나고 할머니는 병들어 누워있는 어느 가정의 한 소년이 수업료때문에 갖은 고생을 다하는데 다행히 고모의 도움으로 수업료를 준비하게 되었고,마침 학급에서도 우정함 모금을 하기로 하였다. 더욱 기쁜 일은 보모가 며칠후에 돌아와서 다음부터는 꼭 수업료를 마련해 주겠다고 약속한 것이다.

Young-sik, a young fisherman in a fishing village, lived with his blind old man and sister. One day, when an old man is suddenly sick, he runs to the doctor, but is rejected because he has no money. Enraged, Young-sik hits the doctor, but he dies. Yeong-sik goes to prison, and his younger brother, Young-ae, becomes the wife of a certain bar. After years of release, Young-sik wanders in search of the old man and his younger brother, and eventually meets his younger brother, but the old man has already passed away. The siblings return to their hometown. Young-ae marries her Tae-sik, who has loved her for a long time, and Young-sik also vows to live steadfastly by fighting the sea.
