이혼녀인 조지아(마샤 매이슨)는 바쁘고 여유없는 현대 생활에 스트레스를 받는다. 그리고 그것이 지나쳐 정신질환을 앓게 된다. 조지아는 정신병원에서 요양한 후 젊은 시절 활약했던 연극계로 돌아간다. 그리고 이전과는 다른 시간을 살고자 한다.
