A young factory worker sends out pictures of herself to a beauty contest and hopes to be chosen. In the same place works Fernando, whom the other employees do not like because of his being very arrogant. In revenge, Rosita pretends to love him. Fernando discovers her double game, but also pretends he is not aware.

During the April Fair in Seville neighborhood of Santa Cruz, Antonio, in love with Coral, will meet Esteban, her boyfriend. The end result is that Antonio is hurt and Esteban goes to prison. To avoid gossip, Coral asks his brother of moving. Cotufo agrees and the two move to a mansion in which, according to legend, lived a Christian and the daughter of a Moorish king, who died of grief of love.

When Esteban, Coral's boyfriend, is imprisoned for quarreling with a troublemaker who was trying to harass her, she decides to lock herself up in a Sevillian house to share his misfortune.
