파리로 대학을 간 리비는 아버지를 도와 별장을 수리하기 위해 여름 동안 핀란드로 들어온다. 겉보기에는 평범한 부자 사이로 보이나 이면에는 어머니의 문제로 둘 사이엔 긴장감이 팽팽하다. 리비의 아버지는 에이전시를 통해 일손을 고용하였으나 타렉은 핀란드어를 할 수 없는 시리아 난민이라 리비가 통역을도와주게 되고, 언어의 장벽 덕분에 둘이 함께 보내는 시간이 많아 진다. 아버지가 사업차 집을 비운 날. 땀에 젖은 셔츠와 사우나, 풀벌레 소리, 시원한 맥주는 여름 밤의 열기를 더해만 주는데… (2018년 제8회 서울프라이드영화제)
