모범생인 16세 소녀 유리는 어느날 집을 가출하여 학교로부터 징계를 받자 부모들은 딸의 탈선 이유를 준이라는 비행소년과의 관계라고 단정한다. 그러나 준과 유리는 순수한 우정을 지닌 친구로서 마음의 상처를 위로해주며 이들을 유혹하는 사회의 폭력집단과 충돌, 준은 유리와 친구들을 보호한다. 외로와진 준이 집을 찾으나 어머니를 괴롭히는 정부를 충동적으로 찌르고 준과 유리, 그리고 친구들은 자기들만의 꿈이 있는 섬을 찾아 길을 떠난다. 그들이 꿈꾸는 것은 화해이나 아무도 손길을 내밀어 주지 않으며 자포자기한 이들이 난폭해지고 모든 것을 포기하려고할 때 준이 죽음을 당하게 되며 이들은 경찰로부터 보호를 받고 서울로 이송되고 비로서 찾아온 부모들과 서로 용서하고 화해하게 된다.
