Eduard von Bittermagen and his friend Professor Pfiff, indulge in an amusing hobby. They take every opportunity to bet on anything. Their latest bet: Bittermagen claims that his nephew Tommi, a young rascal and the Professor's young daughter Julia will become a couple although the two are actually not crazy about each other. Of course, Pfiff bets against it. But then Bittermagen uses a macabre trick. He acts as if his last hour had come and summons Tommi and Julia to his "deathbed". He offers his immense heritage to both of them-if they solve a problem.

기숙사에서 방학을 맞아 스위스의 집으로 가던 패트릭은 기차에서 정숙치 못한 여인이 어느 남자와 즐기는 것을 보는데 그녀는 아버지의 애인 이본느(Yvonne: 테리 토다이 분)였다. 타락할 때로 타락한 삼촌과 숙모 등 집안 식구들에 대해 우울해진 패트릭은 호수에 수영을 갔다가 고향 친구인 쥬리아(Andrea: 실비아 크리스텔 분)를 만난다. 즐거운 물놀이를 즐기던 패트릭은 처녀라고 말하는 쥬리아의 처녀성을 빼앗으면 불감증에 걸릴 지도 모른다는 생각에 자신감을 잃게 된다.

The students at a school of hotel management repurpose the institute into a hotel with a show stage, double-cross the principal, the groundskeeper, and a grumpy millionaire, and cause so much mischief and confusion that, in the end, there is only one thing left to do: laughing to the bitter end!
