Presented here are three "untold stories" from the classic Chinese Novel: Water Margin: "Jinx": Madam Sun is a woman who always thirsts for sex. However, her husband Cheung Ching is impotent, yet clever enough in developing a drug that can heal his shortcoming; "Prodigal": Yin Ching is a martial arts master who knows how to achieve victory with each part of his body, except for his most private part, until a prostitute teaches him a most important good lesson; "Black Whirlwind": Li Kwai is thwarted by his own fame. Faked whirlwinds are everywhere looking to take advantage. A lustful girl is wise and fortunate enough to play dirty, with both impostors, as well as our genuine hero.
Tiger fighter Wu Sung was originally a coward. But when he was drunk, he was extremely courageous. One time at Jingyang Gang, Wu Sung got drunk and killed a tiger. His fearless fight impressed Sung Jiang and Lao Zhishen. Wu Sang's brother Wu Dalang seemed to be an enmity with Pan Jinlian, but in fact they were a pair of swindler. Pan used her beauty to seduce men into bed and then Wu Dalangn would come in and blackmail the victim, asking for huge sum of money. They were very successful.......
91년에 금상장 남우주연상을 수상한 양가휘의 고지식한 관리 임충 역할이 돋보이며, 수려한 용모와 청순한 연기로 홍콩 영화팬들의 사랑을 받고 있는 왕조현이 현모양처인 임충 부인 역을 맡아 국가에 대한 충절과 무림의 의리를 그린 무술 영화이다. 80만 근위군의 교관인 임충은 강직한 성격의 불의를 모르는 자로서, 무예에 심취하여 얼마간의 무예서를 집필하기도 한 장수다. 어느날 상관이며 태위인 고구의 팔순잔치에 장수를 기원하기 위해 장수면을 보낸다. 이를 괘씸하게 여긴 고구는 임충을 생일잔치 날 심복인 육겸과 비교시키며 임충의 의향을 떠본다. 기분이 상한 임충에게 임충 부인은 관직을 떠나기를 권하지만, 임충은 계속 관직에 남기를 고집한다. 거리에 나가 여가를 즐기고 있던 임충 앞에서, 노지심이라는 승려가 무술 시범을 보인다. 노지심은 원래 관직에 있었던 자로, 주위의 간신배들 때문에 관직을 그만둔 후, 의적인 양산과 관계를 맺고 있었다. 노지심의 무예에 흥미를 느끼고 있던 차에, 망나니 고구 아들의 행패로부터 아내를 보호해 준 노지심에게 고마움을 느끼고 마음이 통하여 집으로 데려온다. 밤낮 없이 무예를 논하며, 무술 연습을 하던 두사람은 결국 의형제를 맺어 노지심이 의형이 되는데.

부조리한 관부를 상대로 일어선 양산박 영웅들의 활약상을 담고 있는 이 작품은 강대위, 적룡, 곡봉, 약화, 하리리, 우마 등 홍콩 영화계의 굵직한 배우들이 열연하고 있다. 양산의 조 천왕은 대명부의 상황을 살피러 갔다가 증두시의 사문공에게 치명상을 입고 숨을 거둔다. 이에 양산은 조 천왕의 복수를 결심하지만 경계가 삼엄하고 군사가 많은 증두시를 치기엔 역부족임을 느낀다. 결국 사문공의 동문 사형인 노 원외를 끌어들이기로 하고 양산의 책사인 오용이 급파된다.
