캐나다에서 차이나타운 갱단의 중간 보스인 아룡은 갱단 사이의 세력 싸움에 살인을 하고 교도소에 투옥된다. 10년후 석방되서 홍콩에 온 아룡은 오로지 딸 가가를 찾는다. 암흑가의 대부 홍숙은 예의를 다해 그를 돕는다. 홍숙의 오른팔 아방은 아룡을 못마당하게 여긴다. 아룡은 가가와 함께 있었다는 소룡을 알게 되고, 그녀를 물심양면으로 돕는다. 아룡에게 감화된 소룡은 가가가 실연당해 투신자살했으니 찾지 말라고 한다. 절망한 아룡은 소룡의 곁을 떠난다. 한편 아방은 암거래를 방해하던 소룡과 홍숙 아룡을 한꺼번에 죽이고 암흑가를 장악하려 한다. 혼자서는 그에게 당할 수 없음을 깨달은 아룡은 캐나다의 옛조직에 도움을 청해 아방일당을 제거 한다. 다시 감옥에 간 아룡에게 소식이 끊겼던 소룡이 찾아와 자신이 바로 가가였음을 밝힌다.

In ancient China, a demon was defeated in a fierce battle with a priest, who sealed it's evil spirit in a vase. Centuries later, during the cultural revolution, rebels attempted to gain possession of the vessel from the priest's descendant; however, he threw it into the ocean to keep it from being tampered. The vase was recovered years later in Hong Kong and was auctioned off to a councilman. The demon, unfortunately, escaped and took control of the councilman's body, beginning a spree of terror in the city.

대만에 살고 있는 아화는 홍콩에 있는 병원에 진찰을 받기 위해 소화의 집에 며칠 묵게 된다. 의형제를 맺은 동생 창파에게 빚을 지고 갚지 않는 일을 해결한 소화는 자신과 상의없이 낙태 수술을 한 애인 마벨과 다투고 헤어져 우울해한다. 한편 창파는 동생 하서가 당구내기에서 돈을 잃자 그들과 내기를 두다가 행패를 부리고 쫓기다 두들겨맞는다. 아화는 소화와 영화를 보러가려다 피를 흘리고 온 창파를 보고 소화가 범죄 조직에 있음을 알게 된다. 소화는 창파의 보복을 하고 그 역시 상처를 입고 집에 돌아오는데 두 사람은 서로 사랑하게 되지만 아화는 편지를 남기고 란타우 섬으로 돌아간다. 또다른 동생인 화서의 결혼식 피로연이 돈이 없어 너무나 초라해 화를 내는 아서의 장인과 다툰 창파는 우울해한다.

Joe is betrayed by his gang, who then set out to kill him. On the run, he forcibly enters the apartment of Ann. Despite being initially scared, Joe departs on fairly friendly terms, and catches up with Ann again the next day at her work. One of Ann's students is Sweetie, whose father Mr Fung dotes on her. Fung, a jeweller, is also being romantically pursued by one of his employees, Elsa. The following day, Joe's old gang rob Fung's jewellery shop, during which time they snatch Sweetie.

Please, Please Me is a comedy starring Kenny Bee and newcomer Yu Jia Xi as a cohabiting couple, who try hard to adhere to the rule that they can talk about love, but never about the responsibility of marriage. I Do, the main segment, has Alan Tang in a horror tale.
