At the beginning of the 1920s, Pauline Brunius directed a series of short light comedies - or as she herself describes them "finer games of pleasure with a bit of esprit, maybe also a bit of emotion". She herself wrote the scripts for the films about the charming Stockholm family Winner, where the parents were played by married couple Frida and Olof Winnerstrand and the son Putte by Pauline and John Brunius' own son Palle.

Gyurkovics' younger brother
Mr. and Mrs. Gyurkovics have a dozen children the oldest of which, the twins Géza and Bandi, just preparing for their matriculation examination. When graduation day has come Géza refuses to set up but taken by force by the principal's henchmen. When dad Gyurkovics later dies, takes over Bandi goods while Géza becoming an officer cadet in the nearby garrison city.

Synnöve lives with her parents at the farm Solbakken on a sunny hill. Thorbjörn, who lives at Granliden in the shadow of a big mountain, often looks wistfully up to Solbakken. As teenagers they meet and fall in love. Another boy, Knud Nordhaug, is also yearning for Synnöve.
Forest ranger boy
Young Jörgen Steenfeld is the heir of it over the chimney-indebted estate Steensgaard and unable to clear up its finances.
