When their bond is discovered by their families, the consequences are as violent as the times and mores are conservative. In recent days, Rome has been the scene of an unusual event: when it rains, the manholes exhale a dense steam of unknown origin and composition. No one knows that those who breathe in the mysterious substance will have to deal with what they repress, their darkest instincts, their anger. Not even the Morel family. 그는 그림의 운반원 셰이키를 붙잡지만, 그림의 행방이 묘연하다.
셰이키가 빈센트라는 스턴트맨의 가방에 그림을 숨겨 둔 것이다.
한편, 빈센트의 남동생이자 미술 평론가인 존은 자신의 갤러리를 오픈하기 위한 투자금을 구하느라 애쓰고, 미술관에서 일하는 존의 여자친구 새라는 자신이 담당하게 된 전시회에 마이클의 작품도 전시한다.
그들은 ′핑크 마릴린′을 두고 대치하는 사이가 되고, 그 결과 마이클과 존이 죽고 새라가 ′핑크 마릴린′ 진품을 받게 된다.
