순진한 청년이자 사회 초년생인 폴(장국영)은 지하철에서 우연히 본 모니카(장만옥)에게 한눈에 반한다. 폴의 옆자리에 앉아 있던 아니타(매염방)는 그의 마음을 눈치채고 짓궂은 장난을 쳐서 폴을 웃음거리로 만들어 놓는다. 이렇게 세 사람의 만남은 시작된다. 폴과 모니카는 급속도로 가까워지지만 모니카앞에 이미 결혼한 옛 남자가 접근하고, 두 남자 사이에서 갈피를 못잡고 방황하던 모니카는 폴에게 마지막 제안을 한다. 넓은 지하철에서 다시 자신을 찾는다면 두 사람의 연분은 확실하다는 것이다. 떠나는 모니카를 잡지 못하는 폴을 본 아니타는 자신이 아닌 그의 사랑마저도 소중히 여겨 절망하는 폴을 일으켜 세운다. 넓은 지하철안에서 서로를 찾던 폴과 모니카는 결국 아니타의 도움으로 만나고, 서로의 사랑을 확인하는데..

1930년대 전쟁기의 중국을 배경으로 한 러브 스토리. 1979년 데뷔작 "풍겁"으로 홍콩 뉴 웨이브 대표주자로 떠오른 허안화 감독이 연출을 맡았으며, 주윤발과 미스 홍콩 출신의 무건인이 주연을 맡았다. 대만 금마장과 홍콩 금상장 시상식에서 각각 의상과 음악상을 수상한 작품이다. 20세기 중국최고의 여류소설가로 일컬어지는 장애령 원작의 "경성지연"은 1930년대 일본의 침략으로 혼란에 빠진 상해와 홍콩을 배경으로 애틋한 사랑을 이뤄가는 두 남녀의 이야기를 그렸다.

Because Chen has been notoriously inconspicuous and no one knows what he looks like, he is able to assume to role of a limousine driver for Lolanto, who takes on the persona of Chen Li himself. While tracking down the corruption, Lolanto and Chen also are trying to win the hearts of the two women, but are they looking for true love or only money?

A clever Shaw Brothers wuxia comedy about a young antihero (Tony Leung Siu Hung) getting himself and his friend (Max Mok) into all kinds of trouble and ultimate defeating the "Heavenly Demon" (Chen Kuan Tai). Lightning fast action, pleasant humor, great acting and a helpful modern-day narrator makes this an unusually enjoyable Shaw Brothers production.

대협 운비양(서소강 분)은 천하무적이 된 후 강호에 싫증을 느껴 은거하는데 우연한 기회에 육단과 소자를 만나게 된다. 육단은 본디 조정 충신의 후예인데 환관 유근의 모함으로 일가족이 피살되자 성격이 거칠게 변한다. 게다가 애인, 패패가 오라버니에 의해 강제로 입궐되어 왕비가 되자 천잠마공을 익혀 정덕황제에게 복수하려 한다. 한편 도둑인 소자는 잔꾀가 많고 정의감이 넘치는 젊은이로서 우연한 기회에 천잠신공을 익히게 된다. 나중에 운비양과소자는 모왕-륭고의 암습을 당해 중상을 입게 되는데 운비양은 애인 - 당녕의 희생으로 목숨을 건지게 되지만 삶의 의욕을 잃고 자신의 공력을 모두 소자에게 주입시켜 준다. 소자는 죽음의 문턱에서 천잠재변을 얻어 공력을 더욱 크게 증진된다. 육단은 마공을 터득한 후 더욱 사악하게 변해 황위까지 차지하려 하고 소자와 생사일전을 벌인다. 결전을 앞두고 승리를 쟁취하기 위해 그는 소자의 애인 주청조를 가해한다. 소자는 8할의 공력으로서 주청조의 목숨을 구하지만 결전이 벌어지면 영락없이 죽게 될 것이다. 헌데 천잠신공이 뜻밖에도 또다시 변화를 일으켜 소자는 한순간에 최고의 경지에 도달하게 되는데...

Fu Sheng plays Sheng, a playboy who has all the latest cars and technology along with all the tricks for courting the ladies. Sheng’s mom (Lee Heung Kam) along with her personal nurse, Mei (Cherie Chung), arrive in Hong Kong with the intentions of getting Sheng to marry a woman of her liking. A group of youngsters with untamed hearts often create conflicts with others and get into trouble. While meeting a pretty and gentle girl one day, will there be any change in their lives? Their thinking, actions and spirit seek to free themselves from the shackles of old traditional ideas. They are willful and uninhibited. During a gangsters’ meeting, two gangs come into conflict. In the end, all are arrested by detective Oolong. As juvenile delinquents, they are sent to be under the supervision of a female probation officer.

A teenager and a tycoon gets into an early morning road altercation that eventually lead to a bet: if the teenager can steal his beloved Rolls Royce car from him, the youngster will get to keep it. However, if the teenager fails to do that in the alloted time given, he will need to pay the tycoon HK$40,000.

The main characters - the arrogant, harassed director, the sexy starlet, or naïve actors are familiar enough stereotypes. Along the way however, there is some fun to be had as more humorous incidents occur on the sound stage, together with dashes of nudity. Some of the events are presumably inspired by real life experiences, others have a distinct air of wishful fabrication. The over-the-top Kung Fu star, deserted by director and crew as he goes through his pointless extended routine, for instance. Or the action heroes, sweating in furs while they dutifully munch through their meal scene, 'snow' falling outside in studio land.
