얼마나 오랫동안 우주에 머무른 것인지 모를 빈티지한 우주선내. 프라하스타는 오늘도 익숙한 솜씨로 혼자 우주선을 수리하고 있다. 이 곳은 사람이 죽은 후 사자가 잠시 머물러가는 “사후전이서비스”의 공간으로, 죽은 사람들을 리사이클링하여 새로운 생명을 줘서 지구로 환생시키는 곳이다. 그렇다. 프라하스타는 그냥 우주인이 아니라 악마인 것이다. 매일 도착하는 죽은 사람들 즉, ‘카고’의 물품처리와 환생을 혼자 맡아 하던 그에게 본부로부터 조수 유비쉬카가 파견되는데, 그녀는 최근 가장 인기 있는 악마로, 힐링을 할 수 있는 신기술을 지니고 있다.
