Albania 1997. Some ghostly, deteriorated video footage keeps Julien awake and obsesses him every night. Jani Budi, 60s, after serving a sentence, was released from prison in Ancona and embarks on a ship to return to his country of origin, Albania. Arriving in Tirana he discovers the shocking truth: his wife died shortly after his arrest, and his son, Andi, has become politically corrupt. The film is a combination of drama and comedy that scans Albania today and human relations.

The film describes how Albanian graves were opened by Greeks and the contents moved and re-identified as being the bones of Greek soldiers from World War II.

The story takes place in a port controlled by Charlie the Greek and his criminal band. There are two things Charlie hates: drugs and homosexuality. But both are part of his life: he is madly in love with Joy who is a junkie, though he denies it even to himself. And regarding the homosexuality issue, his right hand, Tony, has an amorous relationship with a transsexual who is part of a group of trans-prostitutes. Ignoring Charlie's adamant orders, the transvestites work the streets around the port, with the help of Tony, who secretly supports them
