뉴욕주, 맨해튼에 거주하는 데이비드 밀러는 기업 간부로 아내인 이사벨과 딸, 서배나와 행복한 삶을 살고 있다. 멕시코인으로 승마 부문에서 올림픽 금메달을 따 한때 멕시코의 영웅이었던 이사벨은 부모님의 결혼 기념일을 맞아 서배나와 함께 고향을 찾는다. 가족을 나중에 따라가기로 한 데이비드는 아내, 딸과 영상 통화를 하던 중 끔찍한 광경을 목격하게 된다. 괴한이 나타나서 아내와 딸을 공격하고 통화를 끊은 것이다. 데이비드는 가족을 되찾기 위해 황급히 멕시코로 향한다.

In this tension-packed thriller, brothers Mike and Tre set out in search of better lives, trying to leave their demons behind for good. After being released from prison for a crime he didn't commit, Mike's only care in the world is to protect his young daughter from an unforgiving ex.
