In the Brazilian countryside, a family straining to care for their bedridden patriarch have their lives changed when a shady nurse offers a diabolical deal: put their elder to rest and host an Argentinian drug kingpin who urgently needs a place to hide.

아르헨티나가 아스토르 피아졸라 기념관을 건립하기로 결정하면서 피아졸라에 대한 본격적이고도 유일한 다큐멘터리인 이 작품은 시작될 수 있었다. 피아졸라의 아들이 기념관에 기증할 많은 유품들을 챙기며 촬영에 응했기 때문이다. 뉴욕의 가난한 이민자 집안에서 태어나 반도네온을 배우기 시작한 피아졸라는 탱고에 새로운 바람을 불어넣었고, 그의 연주와 작품들은 전통을 벗어난 음악이라며 비난을 받기도 했지만, 결국 최고의 걸작들로 기억되며 지금까지도 많은 영향을 끼치고 있다. 가족들의 사적인 영상과 매혹적인 연주를 담은 공연 영상 등 일찍이 공개되지 않았던 풍부한 자료들로 이루어진 이 작품은 탱고를 춤곡으로부터 예술의 경지로 끌어올린 피아졸라의 모든 것을 보여주는 뛰어난 다큐멘터리이다.

Vera and Bruno used to be a couple, but haven’t seen one another since they separated. He coincidentally appears before her during a long-awaited country house weekend with friends on the outskirts of Buenos Aires.
