When Marina crosses the door of the police station, it's because she has finally found the courage to file a complaint against her ex-partner for rape.

This film is a tribute to love, a tribute to cinema. Our two main characters take us with them into the intimacy of "real people". We cross the roads of France with them, in their different vans and pick-up trucks transformed for the occasion into mini movie studios. Their concept: to film "declarations of love" and to deliver them directly by van to their recipients. And we discover, as we go along, that our duo and their own personal adventures are subtly intertwined with the people they film. This mix of genres offers several universes to the spectator in order to make him question himself about love.

Paris, 1968. Catherine, Yves and Hervé are twenty years old. They're students and they love each other. The May student uprisings radically change their lives. Overtaken by communal utopia, they leave the city with a few friends to set up house in an abandoned farm in the Lot region. When Alice finds this out she commits suicide which brings her into a fantasy world.

August in Brittany at a seaside hotel. Some guests are new, some come every year and are friends. The men nearing middle age fish and plan infidelities; their wives have surprises of their own in store. Teens fall in and out of love. Kids not yet teens have their own parties and friendships. In 11 months, most but not all will be back.

In Saint-Rupert, Basse Lozère, the son of a family of garbage collectors, Pissenlit, who has played the mentally deficient since childhood so as not to be forced to go to school, is in fact a prodigy in mathematics: by reading a book found in a trash can, he revolutionizes a mathematical theory. Meanwhile, his father is making a computer from objects recovered from garbage cans, and capable of composing musical "hits" that may make him a star.

When their little cheat fails, Alain and Jean Pierre fail their final high-school exams in English. Their parents deny them the planned vacation to the Cote D'azur and send them instead to Ramscale in England, to improve their English. However many other parents had the same idea, so they meet more of their own than English folks and end up more at beach parties than in class.
