C 해머와 듀엣으로 활동한 바 있는 바닐라 아이스는 이 작품을 통해 자신의 히트랩 송과 화려한 춤과 함께 사랑 이야기를 연기하고 있다. 자유분방한 성격의 랩 뮤지션 쟈니(Johnny Van Owen: 바닐라 아이스 분)는 어느날 그룹 멤버들과 오토바이를 타고 가던 중 고장으로 어느 마을에 머물게 되고, 그곳에서 승마 연습에 부모님의 엄격한 규율 속에 성장한 모범생 캐시(Kathy: 크리스틴 민터 분)를 만난다. 독특한 헤어스타일, 파격적인 의상 등 개성이 강한 바닐라 아이스는 슈가쉑에 있는 클럽에서 캐시와 재회하고 그후 계속되는 만남으로 캐시는 쟈니에 대한 사랑과 이전까지 누리지 못했던 자유를 맛보게 된다. 그러나 쟈니를 불량아로 여기는 캐시 부모의 적극적인 만류로 둘은 헤어질 위기에 처한다.
