"Thamizh Padam" is mockumentary comedy film which parodies contemporary commercial films in Tamil cinema, mocking the stereotypical scenes.
Babu, a tea vendor, loves Uma, a rich girl. She too loves him for his sincerity. When she receives a proposal from a doctor, she accepts for the sake of a secure future. Babu sues her for cheating.

Ajith is paranoid about getting married. Jyothika arrives at his place and begins to compel him to get married to her. The reason: Ajith was pouring his love out to someone else thinking that she was Jyothika! Under the cover of darkness Jyothika confesses her love for Ajith. Thinking that it was Priyanka Trivedi who was speaking to him, Ajith begins to love her. Suddenly, a villain pops out of nowhere and causes the death of Priyanka. Then, finally, after dilly dallying for a very long time, the story ends with the coming together of the lead pair of Ajith and Jyothika.
Kannan's (Karthik) ambition in life is to take up the construction of the temple left incomplete by his forefathers. Funds are not forthcoming. Goundamani assures him that with his employer's help Kannan's dream could become a reality. But Goundamani is disappointed when his employer, the wealthy landlady's (Manorama) grandson Raghu (Ranjith) turns out to be money minded and heartless. In a fit of anger, Goundamani pushes him into the waters of a river and thinks he has committed a murder. Predictably Kannan is made to enter the scene as an impostor. What follows next forms the crux of the story.
Even though Maayan and Machakanni are deeply in love with each other, her brother decides to get her married to someone else. So, Maayan's friends resolve to unite the couple.

Vijaya, Goundamani, Senthil, Ponvannan and Nandagopal playing supporting roles. The film, produced by Kovai M. Murugesan, had musical score by Ekandhan and was released on 9 April 1993.
In the village Ammapatti, Maruthu Pandi is a coracle operator in day and the village protector at night. The villagers give him food in exchange of his work. Maruthu Pandi has a mentally ill sister Lakshmi who is pregnant and he takes care of Lakshmi like a mother. Kanagavalli, a dancer, slowly falls in love with Maruthu Pandi. Kanagavalli is in fact a police officer who wants to arrest Maruthu Pandi. Maruthu Pandi's real name is Manickam, and after a revealed flashback, police team come to Ammapatti to arrest Manickam. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.
Vaidehi belongs to an orthodox Brahmin family and falls in love with Sankarapandi who is from a different caste. Their love is disapproved by her father but is accepted by Sankarapandi's family.
