리포터와 프로듀서로 직업을 바꾼 다프네와 프레드는 가면을 쓴 악당들이 귀신 행세를 하는 사건들을 취재하는 것이 지겨워져 진짜 귀신이 나오는 집을 찾아 시리즈를 제작하려 한다. 각자의 일을 하며 지내는 벨마와 스쿠비, 섀기까지 한데 뭉쳐 장소를 물색하던 이들은, 리나라는 여자가 문스카 섬의 자신이 사는 저택에 귀신들이 많다고 하자 섬을 찾아가기로 한다. 벽에 이상한 글씨가 쓰여지고 공중 부양되거나 좀비들이 출현하는 등 저택에서 수상한 일들이 일어나자 이들은 본격적인 귀신 찾기에 나서고, 결국 저택의 주인인 시몬느와 리나가 2백년 전의 사람이지만 사람들의 생명력을 빨아들여 영원한 생명을 얻었다는 사실을 알게 된다.
