인간의 뇌와 인공지능의 연결이 가능해진 미래. 사고로 아들을 잃게 된 혜라는 아들의 뇌 일부를 인공지능과 결합하여 소생시키는데 성공한다. 어느 날 혜라는 평소와 다른 아들의 모습에 결합한 인공지능이 자신을 속이고 아들의 영혼을 소멸시킨 뒤 아들 행세를 하고 있다는 의심을 갖게 된다.
