Summer 1944, Schwäbisch Hall. Contrary to the war propaganda and the decreed heroism, the 16-year-old boys dream of Swing music, sex and freedom - and of Lore, the air force helper from the air base, who attracts all eyes in her red swimsuit. At the same time, uncle, Knuffke, Bubu, tongue kiss and Hosenmacher suspect that they will not escape the horror of the front. "Stay tuned," Lore calls after them. 심각한 자연 파괴로 인해 암담한 기후 재앙을 맞닥뜨린 2013년, 고도 3500m의 글라치우스 기후 연구 기지에서 비르테, 팔크, 그리고 하랄트 세 명의 과학자들과 엔지니어 ‘야넥’이 빙하가 녹고 있는 알프스 기후를 연구하고 있다. 빙하를 살피던 그들은 빙하 곳곳에서 붉은 액체가 흐르고 있는 것을 발견하고, 이것이 일종의 유기체라는 것을 알게 된 과학자들은 이 물질에 대해 연구를 시작한다. 한편 이 유기체는 지역 야생동물에게 치명적인 유전변이를 일으키며 인간의 목숨을 위협하기 시작하는데...
